Meet Our Dentists

Dr. Gregory Mokotoff, D.M.D.

(Dr. Greg)

Dr. Gregory MokotoffDr. Gregory Mokotoff grew up in New Jersey. He attended Dental School at Nova Southeastern University in 2001 and completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at Temple University in 2003. Dr. Mokotoff has been in the Pediatric practice for 15 years and has been at his current practice for 14 years.

A current resident of Trumbull along with his wife Heather and three children, ages 12, 10, and 4. They chose to reside in Trumbull because Heather grew up there, and as an opportunity to be closer to their family and friends.

Dr. Mokotoff states his main focus to be creating a positive experience for each and every one of his patients. From the moment the first phone call is placed, to the delivery of care, he wants his patients and their families to have the best experience possible.

His favorite part of his job is the people he gets to work with every day. He states "Most people have to go to work. I am fortunate that I get to go to work. The reason I am fortunate is because of the great team of people I work with daily".

Dr. Mokotoff's healthcare philosophy is that there is a person attached to each tooth that he treats. As a pediatric dentist he doesn't just treat little teeth, he treats the child as a whole, always paying attention to the child's emotional well-being as well as their dental health.

The reason he chose dentistry is to be able to make a difference in a child's life. He has always been attracted to healthcare in general because he feels there is nothing more important than one's personal health. Dental health is one small part of an overall healthy life, and his goal is to promote dental health. Heather is also in the Pediatric practice as a nurse practitioner. They both have spent much of their lives promoting children's health and wellness.

When not in the office he likes to travel to places warm and remote, his two favorite spots to travel to are St. John in the US Virgin Islands and Kauai, HI. He also enjoys personal fitness and has run four marathons and 20+ half marathons. His favorite hobbies include running, gardening, traveling, reading, volunteering, and spending time with his family.

A proud accomplishment as father and son Dr. Mokotoff and his son have won the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Race in his Cub Scout pack three years in a row.

As a member of the community, he likes to remain active in the community. He does this by serving as Cub master of his son's Cub Scout pack when he was a cub scout. He also served for a number of years on the school board at his children's school. He also has served on numerous committees for the Connecticut State Dental Association. Last but not least, he has served on many volunteer dental missions both in the US and internationally. In October he will be leading a volunteer dental mission to Guatemala.

Dr. Christopher W. Gibson, D.M.D.

(Dr. Chris)

Dr. Christopher W. GibsonI grew up in Andover, Massachusetts. I attended Boston College (honors program) and obtained my Bachelor’s in Science, Biology, in 2010. In 2010 I attended University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and obtained my D.M.D. My Pediatric Residency was done at New York Presbyterian Hospital and completed year of 2017. I can say with great pleasure I have been with Kids First Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics for 2 years.

The reason I chose this community is because I truly enjoyed my time living in the state of Connecticut during my years in dental school, and I was eager to return to work and practice in the area after completing my residency in New York. It also offers me the opportunity to visit and spend time with my family from my home state, Massachusetts.

My main focus is to provide the highest quality dental care for my community in both an engaging and compassionate manner. My favorite aspect of my job is building relationships with my patients and their families and providing positive early dental experiences for children to help foster a lifetime of great oral health.

A healthcare philosophy I have is to stress the importance of preventative care by providing children and the families with the tools necessary to maintain a healthy smile and lifestyle.

When not in the office, I like to travel and visit my family and friends, on both the east coast and west coast, along with my wife Sophia. A few of my favorite hobbies are avidly rooting for all Boston sports teams (especially the Boston Celtics and Boston College Eagles), bodysurfing waves at the beach, playing pick- up basketball and running.

I remain active in the community by participating in dental outreach trips, both locally in the Northeast and internationally in countries such as Chile and the Dominican Republic.
